HENRY MANCINI - "Mancini Country"
Putnam was honored to be selected to play acoustic bass with the great Mancini and his orchestra. Henry also took time in the midst of the recordings to share his orchestral arranging ideas. He insisted Norbert read through and discuss Henry's complicated scores with each recorded track.
ELVIS PRESLEY
Putnam, or "Putt" as Elvis called him recorded 120 pieces of music with The King over the last seven years of Presley's life. These recordings have sold tens of millions in various compilations over the last forty years. He even added a bass part to what is perhaps Elvis' last recording "Unchained Melody" completed two months before his untimely death. Norbert considered Presley's focus and unbridled emotion the best of any artist he worked with.
